fryup for lunch

Lots of bits in the fridge, and a horrible cold day, so I set off for our frigid kitchen (no heating in there) to see what I could concoct.

I found:

  • two cold sausages
  • a small bowl of mashed swede and carrot
  • some cold potatoes
  • some wizened mushrooms

So … I cut the mushrooms (about 50g) into chunks, and put them into our largest frying pan, together with about a dessert spoonful of olive oil. Put the two sausages in another bit of the pan. Mashed the potato and root veg together, and put them in another bit of the pan (it’s big, OK?) and made it into dry fried bubble and squeak. Put another teaspoon of oil in, and fried a couple of eggs.

Lovely, and quite low far – am changing my cooking style quite a lot.  Best guess: 420 cals (each, that is).
